As every year, the annual FIABCI World Congress takes place in early summer. This year, Moscow was the host city. The event was held in the World Trade Center and lasted from May 27 to 31. The numerous participants came from all corners of the world. There were around 15 from Switzerland.

Vitali Bekker, FIABCI member from Geneva, lived in Moscow for several years and knows the metropolis like the back of his hand. He organized the varied supporting programme for the Swiss delegation.

The kick-off event took place one day before the congress on the roof of the Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel. All the Swiss participants met there for coffee and enjoyed the magnificent view over the city. Afterwards, the group was led by a tour guide across Red Square to Zaryadye Park. The highlight then took place in the park's Gastronomic Center. A culinary journey through Russia consisting of seven courses was organized there. An unforgettable experience. That evening, all participants gathered on the terrace of the Word Trade Center for the opening ceremony.

This year's congress focused on digital technologies. The panel discussions on the use and centralization of shared data and cloud solutions in the real estate industry were particularly interesting. It was very exciting to see how developed the different participating countries are in these areas. Of course, these topics fostered interesting conversations with real estate people from all over the world.

On the second day, what we considered to be the most exciting presentation of the congress took place. It was a panel discussion with Maurice Leroy, a former French minister who now works as an advisor to the mayor of Moscow on mobility issues. His visions on the future of urban transportation solutions in cities with millions of inhabitants like Moscow are extremely interesting.

Two other important events were the Gala Dinner and the Annual General Meeting.

The traditional Swiss dinner was organized by Vitali: a journey back to the Soviet post-war era in the Dr. Jivago restaurant. A breathtaking experience!

The congress, the networking and the experiences were very satisfying for all members. As every year, the Young Members would like to thank the association for its support and look forward to the upcoming congresses.
