FIABCI is an independent organization that brings together thousands of professionals from all areas of the real estate industry worldwide. FIABCI-SUISSE sees itself as the international complement to other Swiss real estate associations. FIABCI-SUISSE puts people first and offers its members a global platform. The collegial interaction within the association is characterized by mutual appreciation and solidarity. International roots and a cosmopolitan orientation offer members the opportunity to acquire transnational knowledge and build global business relationships.

OBJECTIVE.

Representing the collective interests of its members and member associations at international level.

To enable members of the real estate profession to improve the quality and competitiveness of their services through the exchange of experience, knowledge, information and business opportunities at local, national and international level.

Promoting the exchange of information on what is happening on the markets, in business and industry and in the governmental and technological context that is relevant to the real estate sector.

Promotion of cultural and educational exchange between real estate professions in different countries.

The international association is made up as follows: Academic institutions, associations, companies, individual members, authorities and agencies in over 65 countries Current membership:

The national association FIABCI-SUISSE supports its members in the international transfer of knowledge, in cross-border networking and in gaining experience abroad. The association's mission is to enable members of the real estate industry to improve the quality and competitiveness of their services through the exchange of experience, knowledge, information and business opportunities at local, national and international level. The FIABCI-SUISSE association offers its members the opportunity to exchange training at an international level.

The "December business meetings" take place in Geneva

FIABCI, through René Frank Sr., establishes the Global Housing Foundation with the support of the UNCHS (United Nations Commission on Human Settlements), for the creation of decent housing for the world's poor population

Willy Egeli jr. acts as World President for 1994/95

1971

Horace Juillard becomes the first Swiss World President of FIABCI from 1955-1957, and the 6th FIABCI World Congress is held for the first time in Switzerland, in Geneva

1955

FIABCI is granted consultative NGO status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the UN and is still the only real estate association with this status. A representative of FIABCI-SUISSE is currently one of 5 representatives at the UN in Geneva

The FIABCI-SUISSE Chapter is founded in 1951

The FIABCI is founded in Paris, where the first international real estate congress is held in the same year with participants from Switzerland, Canada and 5 other European countries
