Chancy-Pougny hydroelectric power plant (SIG site)
There are almost 200 large dams in Switzerland that are supervised by the federal government. Together with our global president, we visited one of them with SIG: the Chancy-Pougny dam, which is located on the French-Swiss border and is celebrating its 100th anniversary. 64.6% of the energy generated is used by Switzerland and 35.4% by France. Visit to the Expo in Geneva – "Praille – Acacias – Vernets" (PAV) urban development projectOne of the most ambitious projects in Switzerland and Europe. The project area covers 230 hectares. The Geneva authorities estimate that the future redeveloped district will have a capacity of 12,000 apartments and 6,000 jobs, spread across the nine future districts.
