For over a year now, the global geopolitical and economic situation has changed, and numerous legislative, environmental and energy challenges continue to put us to the test.
The real estate industry has always had to adapt to various changes, especially today. Our profession must constantly face new challenges and evolve. This also applies to our association. We have to reinvent ourselves to keep up with the times, but at the same time preserve our values and our identity. This year has also seen changes and challenges in our Board of Directors, but we are overcoming them together, because together we are strong. At our upcoming General Assembly, we will explain our vision and propose solutions for the future.
Throughout the year, we were delighted to see so many of you at our FIABCI events. Openness and constant dialog offer members the opportunity to gain knowledge on a national level and beyond our borders while building business relationships. The FIABCI-SUISSE Board always does its best to organize the best conditions for these meetings. Visits to emblematic projects, presentations on exciting topics and numerous discussions on innovative ideas should provide you with a unique opportunity to benefit from the FIABCI network. For this reason, we would like to thank all of you, our members, the entire Board, our Secretariat and our entire professional community for your cooperation and your valuable contribution to the life of our chapter.

FIABCI-LUNCH 2023 The private visit to "Lindt Home of Chocolate" in Kilchberg (ZU)
More than just chocolate !
On Thursday, April 20, 2023, the FIABCI lunch took place in the canton of Zurich, at the new "Lindt Home of Chocolate" in Kilchberg. During the private tour of the new building and the Swiss Chocolate Museum, we learned a lot about the history of chocolate, the new building and, of course, chocolate tasting. The architecture and design of the building, as well as the history of Lindt, impressed all participants. Around 30 participants traveled to attend this convivial event in the FIABCI-SUISSE community. A big thank you to the museum staff for the welcome and to our many members who enjoyed this chocolaty experience.
FEEDBACK 4th edition RENT Switzerland 2023
FIABCI-SUISSE was represented at the 4th edition of the real estate technology trade fair RENT Switzerland 2023, which took place from March 28 to 30 at EPFL's SwissTech Convention Center. Over 2,000 people and 100 partners from the real estate industry took part in the trade fair.
RENT (Real Estate New Technologies) is an important event for PropTech (Property Technology, Real Estate Startups and Professionals) in French-speaking Switzerland.
On Thursday, March 30, Dr. Roland Baertschi gave an interesting presentation on the topic of "Ecological Building". This topic brought together numerous professionals at the "Architecture and Construction" stand.
FIABCI brings together over 40 professions in its member community. We are proud to count Baertschi Partner (member and sponsor), a specialist in load-bearing structures and building physics, among our members and thank him for his presentation.

73rd FIABCI World Real Estate Congress
The FIABI World Real Estate Congress will take place from June 5 to 9, 2023 in Miami, USA. On the occasion of this General Assembly, we are pleased to welcome Mr. François Guisan fromSEED Certification - Director of Sustainable Development at SEED - as a speaker. With a Master of Sciences in Applied Ecology (Biology), from the University of Neuchâtel, Mr. François Guisan has been working for over 20 years on research into sustainability solutions for the construction and planning sector. He has accompanied numerous development projects and was the developer of the SEED next generation living certification protocol. The association brings together various stakeholders with the aim of promoting sustainable districts in accordance with the principles of SEED certification and differentiated investment models for the realization of corresponding projects.

After graduating from the Faculty of Law in Zurich and completing a legal internship at a Zurich law firm, he now works in project development at Urbanstreet Development AG.
